Making Moves

Ever since I moved here a few years ago, I’ve been repping Charleston every way I know how. Whether it’s sporting pieces from local boutiques wherever I go, supporting the amazing restaurant scene, or even donning the Holy City’s airport code on a baseball hat, I just can’t help myself. Check out this local look below, and keep scrolling for some very exciting news!

Unlike many of the ~fancier~ outfits on my blog, this is something you can actually find me wearing on a daily basis. A comfy cotton dress, sneakers, sunnies, and a hat (mostly to hide what dry shampoo can’t). Although I’m constantly bouncing around between my top Charleston boutiques – browse through the blog and you’ll quickly discern my favorites – I frequent Tres Carmen for my closet staples.

To take a #basic outfit to the next level, I always reach for a trendy piece or a pop of color. This time, it was both – a hot pink Mar Y Sol tote. To finish off the outfit, I went with my classic gold jewelry and favorite bright lip (the one that I swear makes me look more awake on those venti kind of mornings). Although pink and green isn’t a color combo that I find myself frequenting, we are in Charleston where Lilly reigns supreme, and down here we rock it.

Three years ago I moved to a brand new city, 500 miles from home, where I could count the people I knew on one hand. That city was Charleston, and that move was actually what inspired me to start this blog. This city was where I would meet some of the best people I know, move in with my dream boy, grow my blog more than I ever thought possible, work with some incredible brands, eat the most delicious food, discover something new and beautiful every day – and eventually, have to say goodbye to. I’m both thrilled and terrified to announce that I will be moving to Washington, DC at the end of the month! It’s going to be so exciting to explore another new city, but of course it’s very bittersweet to leave this one. I’d love for you to continue following along as I document my journey right here on the blog – and you better bet I’ll be back in Charleston as much as I can. Thank you to everyone who has made this place feel like home!
