Beachy Kimono

Although Labor Day has come and gone, summer’s not over yet! Especially in this sweet little sauna we like to call Washington, DC. Before Hurricane Florence drenches the city this weekend, I’ll be taking advantage of the last few summer days. Anyone else with me? As much as I love fall, even I can’t force it when it’s still this humid!

One item I can’t seem to get enough of recently is the kimono. I just love how much it spices up an outfit in one quick step! This palm print one has been on major repeat all season for beach trips and errands alike.

For the rest of my look, I kept it simple (for the most part, because hi). I opted for an easy gray tank dress, nude heels, and tortoise sunnies to keep the focus on the statement kimono. Then because I just can’t help myself, I accessorized with white tassel earrings and a straw bag to add to the fun beachy vibes.

As excited as I am for fall layers – and most importantly, fall temperatures – I’ll be sad to put this piece away for the cooler months! Who’s ready to say goodbye to summer, and who’s like me and is (im)patiently waiting for autumn?! Hate to see summer go, but love to watch it leave – ya know?
